New research compiled from Lending Tree housing data indicated that there are more single women owning their own home versus single men in all states expect for three! Nationwide, women own just under 11 million homes while men own a bit over 8 million. The states showing the most single women homeownership are Mississippi, Louisiana and Delaware; Delaware having the most. The states having the most single men homeownership are the Dakotas and Alaska.
